OHA ANNUAL PLAYER REGISTRATION FEE

OHA Annual Player Registration Fee 2018-19

The OHA Annual Player Registration Fee was approved by the membership at the 2012 OHA Annual General Meeting. The fee reduced some of the financial liability from our team owners and operators, allowing them to redirect those funds directly back into the player experience and team operations. The fee also allowed the OHA to continue to provide its members with the services and support to which they are accustomed and the financial stability needed to implement the Tomorrow’s Game Project.

PLAYER LETTER 
Many teams have requested that the OHA provide a letter to give to prospective players once they are ready to sign with their hockey team. The letter clearly identifies that this is an OHA initiative and NOT a team charge.

OHA ANNUAL PLAYER REGISTRATION FEE: 2018-19

  • $350.00 + HST ($45.50) = $395.50 

PAYMENT POLICY

  • Players are to pay the OHA Registration Fee prior to the 4th regular season game their TEAM plays from the time of registration on HCR.
  • Players registered on December 1st or after must pay the OHA Player Registration fee before playing in a regular season game.
  • Teams and Players not abiding to the above guidelines may be suspended and not able to participate until the fees are collected.
  • Any team with outstanding player registration fees for players on their year-end protected roster will be responsible for the payment to protect the player into the following season.

  • Note: Players will be able to print a receipt and confirmation to provide to their Team General Manager for proof of payment.

REFUND POLICY - PLAYER REGISTRATION FEE
Player(s) or team(s) can apply for a refund, based on who made the payment on behalf of the individual.

  • Players released before October 1st may receive a refund of 75%
  • Players released up to October 15th may receive a refund of 50%
  • Players released from October 16th to December 1st may receive a refund of 30% 
  • Players released after December 1st are not eligible to receive a refund

Deadline for applying for a refund is December 31st of the current season.
Refunds will not be processed before March 1st.
